Obituary of Frank A Klemser
Frank A. Klemser, 81, of Hampton, NJ passed away on April 4, 2020 at St. Luke's/Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. Frank was born in Plainfield New Jersey on August 7, 1939 to Frank and Blanche May (Walters) Klemser.
Frank was married to Delia (Dapitan) Klemser on June 24, 2006, they were married 14 years.
Frank, after graduating from Plainfield High School, class of 1954, served his country in the United States Navy. The majority of his 4 year enlistment was serving as a "Tin Can Sailor" on the Destroyer USS Keppler DD765; he was a Machinist Mate 2nd class. After being Honorably Discharged from the Navy Frank went to work for the Middlesex Water Company as a Filter Plant Operator. Frank then decided to serve once again and joined the New Brunswick Fire Department where he worked his way up to Acting Captain in Ladder Company #1. While with the New Brunswick Fire Department he attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. In 1995 he retired after 23 years as a Firefighter.
Frank loved being active and will be remembered for his involvement in local organizations. Frank was a volunteer Fire fighter on the Bradley Gardens Fire Department. Frank was a long time member and Range Safety Officer at the Phillipsburg Pistol Club. Frank, was actively serving as Code Enforcement Office in Hampton, NJ
Frank is survived by his spouse Delia, Brother John, Sister Judith Moretti, and three sons, Frank, Richard and Brian.
Frank was laid to rest at the Warren Hills Funeral Home in Washington, NJ. Due to the Coronavirus epidemic "Celebration of Life" arrangement will be made and announced at a later time.
