Obituary of Jean Jost
Jean Jost, 98, of Washington, passed away at home on August 2, 2020.
Jean was born on October 21, 1921 in Massachusetts to the late John and Rose (Moroz) Supinski.
She started the family business, Jost Brothers Jewelry in New York City with her husband, Nicholas Jost in 1940, and continued to work in the Washington office until 2019. In 1959 she was one of the first female school bus drivers in New Jersey. She enjoyed bingo, casino trips, playing pinochle with her friends, and especially being with her family. She was of the Catholic faith.
Jean is survived by her son Nicholas Jost of California, daughter Jean Jost of Texas, and daughter in law Susan Jost of Washington, with whom she resided.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Allen, Stephen Jost, Charles Jost, Monica Thrailkill, Elizabeth Thompson, Mathew Jost, Nicole Moreland, and Truly Lombardo. Jean also leaves behind thirteen great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Jost, son Stephen (Impy) Jost, sisters Helen Jost and Jane Pujol, and a brother Stephen Supinski, and great grandson Martin Allen.
