Obituary of Clayton Ray Pierce

Clayton "Ray" Pierce, 69, of Washington, NJ departed this world for heaven on August 5, 2020 After graduating from Muhlenburg High School in 1969, Ray began his working career in the auto mechanics field working for several employers until his retirement from Empire Wrecking in 2000. Not one who could sit around doing nothing, he began his employment at Partac Peat Corporation in 2007 until his retirement from there in 2020. Ray is survived by his loving wife, Denise (Kern-Weston) Pierce, his daughter Kimberly (Chris) Radka, his steps sons, Jeffrey (Kalista) Weston & Zachary (Lindsey) Weston, sister Linda (Joe) Capellupo of Reading, brother Charles R. (Nancy) Pierce of Reading, maternal Aunt Kathleen (Scott) Sponsler, grandchildren Brandon, Hailey, Kazlyne and Kanyon (due in August), and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ray will also be greatly missed by his fur babies Brodie, Bo & Princess. Ray was predeceased in death by his parents, Robert J. and Betty L. (Lemley) Pierce and grandparents, Clayton Sr. and Opal (Whitlatch) Pierce. Ray's friends were especially important to him and specifically acknowledges the friendship of George Miller of Dunedin, FL, Bill and Lisa Zana of Muhlenberg, PA and Henry Krumanocker of Maidencreek, PA. In his early years, Ray had a passion for dirt-track racing as well as serving as mechanic and driver. Ray was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time on the greens with his friends, John, Randy and Jim as well as his team-mates at Greens and Regs. Ray was especially proud of his "hole in one" achieved at Cherry Valley! As relaxing as time on the golf course was for Ray, his favorite past-times over the years has been climbing aboard one of the many motorcycles he owned and riding into the wind. He was especially fond of his beautiful blue trike that he had built and customized from his 2003 Harley which he and Denise would ride on weekends. Ray's other hobbies included playing softball, bowling, and hunting in Colorado with his father and cousins. One of his favorite memories was being fortunate to be able to take a five-month camper trip across this great country he loved so much. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday August 9, 2020 from 11 AM - 12PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
