Obituary of Jane Whitehead

Jane Whitehead, 95, of Mansfield Township, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 18, 2020 at Clover Rest Home in Columbia, NJ. Jane was born on April 8, 1925 in Orange, NJ to the late Jesse Collinson and Jane "Cullen" Collinson. Jane graduated from West Orange High School class of 1943. She married her late husband Madison Whitehead Jr. in 1950 and moved to Mansfield Township that same year to raise their family. Jane was a devoted mother and loving wife who enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved taking walks, swimming and making funny puns. She had a great sense of humor and was always loving and selfless. Jane is survived by her daughters, Jane Ennico (Paul), Julie Pruznick, and Carol Rafalko (Michael); her sons, Madison Whitehead III (Jill) and John Whitehead (Veronica); a brother, Thomas Collinson; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Madison Jr., Jane was preceded in death by a brother Robert Collinson and sisters, Mae Wagner and Jessie Collinson. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday September 23, 2020 from 10-11 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Memorial Service celebration Jane's life will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
