Obituary of Helen M Bruno
Helen M. Bruno, 88, formerly of Asbury, NJ passed away peacefully at her home in Palmer Township, PA on December 19, 2020.
Helen was born in Elizabeth, NJ on January 16, 1932 to the late Fred and Marie Link. Helen was known to many as Nan. She moved to Asbury, NJ with her loving husband Charles in 1972. Together they owned and operated Bruno's Restaurant in Asbury until their retirement in 1998. Nan was a magnificent cook and their restaurant became a staple in the Asbury area. Nan was also a talented artist who enjoyed painting. Nan and her husband Charles enjoyed summers at the Jersey Shore. After 49 years of marriage Charles sadly passed away in 2018.
Nan is survived by a son, Kurt Bruno and his wife Tanh Tu Bruno, Four grandchildren, Rainie Campagna, Tabitha Bruno Nicholas Bruno and Jennifer Rose. She also had 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to Charles, Nan was preceded in death by her sons, Chuck, Mark and a daughter Debbie.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday December 28, 2020 from 10-11:30 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral service will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at the funeral Home. Nan will be laid to rest next to her husband Charles at St. Joseph Cemetery in Washington, NJ.
