Obituary of Ethel M. Voegele

Ethel M. Voegele, 89, passed away peacefully on March 25, at her home in Franklin Township (Sussex County) with her loving family by her side. Ethel was born on February 7, 1932 in Mansfield Township, NJ to the late John and Gladys "Case" Hildabrant. She graduated from Washington High School class of 1950. Ethel was employed by A&P Deli in both Belvidere and Blairstown until her retirement in 1997. She was the Matriarch of her family and can be described as Independent women. Ethel enjoyed reading, ceramics, traveling and going on spur of the moment road trips with her friends and family. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy McPeek and her husband Jack, Rhonda Ruwart and her husband Robert; A son, John W. Voegele; grandchildren, Robert, Cynthia, Michelle, Destiney Jeffery, Jason, Troy and Lynaida and 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Ethel was preceded in death by a brother, John "Sonny" Hildabrant; sisters, Eva Jones, Yvonne Barbaro and Barbara Mullikin and her former husband John Voegele. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday March 31, 2021 from 5-7 PM and again on Thursday April 1, 2021 from 10-11 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday April 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pequest Union Cemetery.
