Obituary of Carl E. Rodweller

On the morning of March 5,2025 at 1150 am our father Carl E. Rodweller Sr., (Bill), passed away to be with his wife Mary at the Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown, PA.

Dad was born in New Brunswick, NJ on August 12, 1939. He resided most of his life in their home they bought in 1968 in Baptistown, NJ.

Dad was employed at Magnesium Elektron for many years, where he retired. Dad then began to work at Chris's Citgo, where he was a fixture handing out candy telling mostly non funny jokes and as always taking pride in getting the job done right.

Dad loved to fish, whether it was at the local ponds, fishing the Delaware or throwing a few lines at his favorite spot the "Valley". Dad was known all over and you could see him sitting on his bucket or towing one of his many boats through the years.

Dad was a member of the Kingwood Fire Company for several years.

Dad coached his sons for a few years in little league while we were growing up and eventually along with Mom would always attend our softball games.

Mom and Dad were a very special part of the success of the Charles Agulis Memorial Tournament, raising money for the American Cancer Society.

Carl(Bill) E. Rodweller Sr. is survived by 2 sons, Bill and his wife Linda of Alpha NJ, Carl Jr. (Herk) from Ringoes NJ, a daughter Shari and her husband Steve of Richville, NY, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Dad is also survived by a brother Raymond (Butch) Shoemaker of Lexington KY.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 Washington Ave. Washington NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the above mentioned organizations

Our father will be missed by many. Whether he was talking with people at the Corner Store, pumping some gas Chris's or just sitting on his bucket casting a line, he will be missed.

Dad has left us. He is now with his beloved wife "Squatty" as he always called her. He had told us many times how much he misses her and we all know now he is at peace and in good hands.

Love Ya and See Ya Dad
