Obituary of Jeanne B. Ruszczyk
Jeanne B. Ruszczyk, 91, of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully at Lopatcong Care Center in Phillipsburg, NJ January 5, 2013.
Born: November 3, 19 21 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Ignatius and Stefania Baron.
Personal: Jeanne lived in her current residence for 65 years. Previous residence was Elizabeth, NJ.
Jeanne worked for many years for the family business the Old Homestead Bakery in Washington, NJ until its closing in 1980. She also worked as a secretary for Washington Porcelain Company.
She graduated from Battin High School in Elizabeth, NJ class of 1939 and furthered her education at the Felt & Tarrant School of Comptometry.
Jeanne was a very devout catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Washington.
Jeanne was an avid NY Yankee fan, she loved watching television mainly soap operas and game shows. But above all family meant the most to her, she enjoyed every moment spent with her family. She will be sadly missed.
Survivors: She is survived by three loving daughters, Jeanne L. McCormick and her husband, Michael of Washington, NJ, Lorraine Ruszczyk of Richmond VA and Marilyn Szot and her husband, Nicholas of Pocono Summit, PA; four grandsons, Ryan McCormick and his wife, Marissa, Justin Szot and his wife, Jessica, Colin McCormick and his wife, Colleen and Josh Szot; two great-granddaughters, Lilyana Szot and Cecelia Szot.
Predeceased by her devoted husband of 42 years, Edward P. Ruszczyk; a son, Edward S. Ruszczyk; and four sisters, Ann Leisentritt, Sister Mary Antonilda and Veronica and Mary Baron.
Services: Visitation Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 9, 2013 with Father Blaise Baron officiating at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave, Washington, NJ 07882.
Burial at St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Jackson Valley Road, Washington, NJ 07882.
