Obituary of Barry Copin
Barry R. Copin Sr, 70 of Lebanon Township passed away peacefully June 28, 2015 at Hunterdon medical center.
Barry was born on August 24, 1944 in Greenport Long Island to the late Samuel and Betty Copin.
Formerly of Washington, Barry graduated from Greenport high school class of 1964. He served proudly in the US Army in Vietnam during the war. Barry worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local 825 for 42 years before retiring in 2003. He was a lifetime member of the Phillipsburg Pistol Club, a lifetime member of the NRA and a certified shooting instructor. He was also a member of the young Republican's club. Barry enjoyed boating, clay bird shooting and NASCAR. He was a very skilled machinist and enjoyed tinkering in his machine shop.
He is survived by his loving companion Ana Malaret; a son Barry Copin Jr. and his wife Oneida; a daughter Holly Copin and her companion Marc McGrath. Sisters Ester, Judy and Carol. In addition to his parents Barry was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl in 2002.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday July 2, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-8:30 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated immediately following at 8:30 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
