Obituary of Janos Szaszko

Janos Szaszko, 70, of Oxford, NJ and formerly of Wayne and Clifton, NJ passed away peacefully on November 20, 2019 at home with loved ones by his side.

Janos was born on July 14, 1949 in Koka, Hungary to the late Sandor and Maria Szaszko.

Janos received his education in Hungary, before immigrating to the United States in 1967.  He was a handyman for many years, and had a passion for tinkering with projects at both work and at home.  He would also always be the first person to lend a helping hand if needed.  Janos was an avid soccer fan at both the international and local levels. Janos will be remembered by many for all his generosity over the years.

Janos is survived by his stepdaughter Eva Bendel and her husband Alan. He is also survived by his granddaughter Angilika and her fiancé Marian Tkac.

In addition to his parents, Janos is predeceased by his wife Angeliki, who passed in 2008.

 In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Janos’s name to the Oxford Township Rescue Squad.

Funeral arrangements have been made private at this time and are entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
