Obituary of Scott F Welch

Scott F. Welch, formerly of Belvidere, NJ and founder of Bowers Schumann & Welch Insurance Agency in Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2019 at his home in Forks Township, PA. His loving family was by his side. To those who knew Scott, he was the legendary leader who turned BS&W from a one person local business into a top 100 broker in America. He was a mentor, entrepreneur, community leader, and above all a family man. He was passionate about integrity, saying his word was his bond while inspiring each of us to pursue our dreams and to make a difference in the world. He had many accomplishments and awards but his legacy rests with the countless people that he loved and loved him. He will be especially missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Henrietta, daughter Jody, son Todd, his 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren as well as his 5 brothers. Scott’s oldest son, Glen, passed in March of this year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glen R. Welch Scholarship Foundation at www.charterpartnersinstitute.org The family is holding a private service and will be hosting a celebration of life in his honor on January 18th, with calling hours between 1:30 and 4pm at Hawk Point, 4 Clubhouse Dr., Washington, NJ 07882. Scott was known for impacting many lives thru both his deeds and actions. We were hoping to capture some to share with the family and with permission at the Celebration of Life.
