Type Obit Here Walter F. Auch Jr. 99, of Palmer Township, PA passed away peacefully at home with his loving daughter, and grandaughter by his side Saturday May 23rd, 2020. Walter was born on October 19, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Walter F. Auch Sr. and Marion Pennypacker-Auch. He was a graduate of Delaware Valley College, and Wilson Area High School. Walter proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He married the love of his life Shirley Miers and together raised their 2 children. He was of the Lutheran faith. Walter was employed as the District Magistrate for Northampton County for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, the National Audubon Society and the National Wildlife Federation. He enjoyed walking and reading, and was very health conscious and stayed fit by always chopping and burning wood. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his loving daughter, Nancy and his 7 grandchildren and their families. He is preceded in death by his son Walter F Auch III, and his Wife Shirley Miers-Auch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter's name to the National Audubon Society, 225 Varick Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10014 Due to public gathering restrictions, services will be announced at a later date.
