Obituary of Shrimati Das

Shrimati "Shri" Das, 79, of Washington died Sunday, January 11, 2009 peacefully at home with her family by her side. Born: July 27, 19 29 in Vaso, India, daughter of the late Ramniklal and Urmila Trivedi. Personal: She resided in Washington for the last 12 years, prior to that she lived in Hackettstown, NJ and India. Shrimati earned a BA in Education and Science and her Masters in Social Work. She was a teacher of English and Science in India for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, traveling, dancing and singing. She also loved Western Classical Music. Survivors: Her loving husband of 54 years, Kantikumar; a son, Pankaj Das and his wife, Neeta of Washington; a daughter, Chhaya Johnson and husband, Danny, FL; three grandchildren, Komal, Janak and Joan. Services: Visitation and services will be held Monday January 12, from 1-3 PM in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, 07882. Cremation will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. .
