It’s so hard to say only a few things about Mario. He was a very very kind and wonderful man, he opened up his heart to everyone he met. I have such wonderful memories of him when I would visit with June and Mario was by her side. I remember hanging out with Mario and the Lances at Disney. So many great time and delightful memories. He will be truly missed by all. Love and prayers to his family and friends. Kathleen Lancaster Ringgold

Mario became part of our family 17 years ago. Having lost my dad at such an early age, Mario stepped up to the plate as a father figure. I have so many wonderful memories of Mario over those years. He helped out whenever possible, lended an ear, shared many stories, gave advice when needed, and was always full of laughter. Mario will remain in my heart forever. ❤

We remember how friendly and outgoing Uncle Mario was. We remember many Sundays stopping at Island Park after motor cycle runs to have a bowl of clam chowder and a beer with him. Our thoughts and prayers to the entire family

We became close to Mario later in his life. He watched our 2 boys grow up. For over a decade, he went with us to LBI on our family vacation. Mario and our mother, June, also went to Disney World with us. Mario was in awe of this trip and stated how clean everything was. (How many men would even notice?) They also drove out to Pittsburgh countless times to visit us. We always loved seeing them. (Mario was the "acting grandfather" to our boys.) One Thanksgiving, we drove to NJ for the long weekend. We all gathered for a family picture and Mario wanted to take the picture. We all insisted for him to be in the picture...he was part of our family...his 2nd family. We thank God for Mario. We will always miss his smile, his wisdom, his friendship and our conversations around the dinner table. Mario was everything.

So sorry to learn of Mario’s passing. Always enjoyed listening to his stories about his days as a star athlete and never ending tales about his experiences running Island Park. Mario was a consummate gentleman and can leave no greater legacy than providing a place like Island Park where no less than a good time could be had and remembered by all. R.I.P. my friend. You will be missed.

To the Pasquini Family:
I was very sorry to hear of Mario's passing. I keep the memories of Island Park "good times" close to my heart - and Mario was a BIG part of those memories. I hope he now has the time to pen that book he always wanted to write! May he rest in peace.

Mario was one in a million. Hard working, principled, compassionate and fun loving. Will never forget how he would play ‘What a Wonderful World’ with Stevie Wonder on the jukebox at Island Park at closing time and we would all sing along.
