Mr. Yawger, Bob, Washington Borough has lost a significant person in its' history with your passing. You connected with, and helped many young people and my own family loved and respected you. Personally, my memories lie in your early years when Bob, Ron and David were in grammar school through high school, but my son Joe loved you and you will always be a part of his life, as are your children with all of my children. Now you can shake the hand of the great Buddy Holly in person. RIP.

Terri and family. We are sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Bob always had a quick smile and a kind word for everyone. We remember how he liked Fords, hockey and Canada!. He always made us welcome the times we spent with him at parties, cook outs, and dances. He will be sorely missed.

Terri and family, my deepest condolences to you all. I'm sure Bob and my dad (Mark Birch) have had a beer or two already. :-) We always enjoyed being neighbors when you lived on State St. Bob always greeted us with a smile and a wave. And I loved when he would tease my dad about swimming in your pool. I miss those days. I will be keeping you all in my prayers. RIP Bob, you will be missed.

We first met Bob when moving to Washington in 1972. He always was quick with a joke about the "CITY SLICKERS from up on the hill!!" As the years went on we enjoyed many good times, Redskin Football, Friday nights at the PVI, fishing trips and picnics and holiday parties. You will be missed by many Bob...RIP your time on this earth was well spent! Our condolences to Terri and family.

Mr. Yawger was my football coach when I was on the Redskins. He tormented me as much as I tormented him I suppose, but he taught me to never back down from anything I truly believed in. What an amazing man, coach, and friend he was to me growing up. Thank you for believing in me even when I didnt believe in myself.
RIP Mr. Yawger. God has a new angel.
Robyn Frederick Chiappetta.

Mr. Yawger, (I never called him Bob), was a great influence on me as I grew up. He showed me that being kind and thoughtful to others was the most important thing in life. He could always make me laugh. He had a true gift. I consider myself blessed to have known him. I was lucky to be able to spend some time with him at his birthday celebration last year. It was good to see him. Rest in peace Mr. Yawger.
