Obituary of Claire M Giuliano

Claire Margaret Giuliano, nee Devey, 92, of East Stroudsburg, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. She was born on October 6, 1929 in Newark, NJ to the late Edwin and Margaret (Scheiber) Devey. Formerly of Bloomfield, NJ, she moved to Washington in 1957 and moved to East Stroudsburg in 1986. Claire was married to Michael Giuliano at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Bloomfield, NJ in 1949. She was a former member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Washington, NJ, where she was president and treasurer of the Altar Guild for 13 years. She was also a member of the Episcopal Church Women where she served as president and was a Sunday school teacher. Claire was a member of the Great Valley Girl Scout Council, serving as a Girl Scout leader for many years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, being installed into Chapter #76 in Bloomfield, NJ, in 1953, transferring to Chapter #136 in Washington, NJ, in 1960 and receiving her 50-year pin in 2003. She was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Newark, NJ, and Warren County National Bank in Washington, NJ. Claire is survived by two daughters, Gayle Bruhn and her husband Karl of Chagrin Falls OH, and Michele Schultheis and fiancé Carlos Cordero of Stroudsburg PA, and a son, Robert Giuliano and his wife Linda of Belvidere NJ, as well as three grandchildren, Michael Giuliano of Abingdon MD, and twins Allison Sutton and her husband Ryan of East Stroudsburg, and Kimberly Arantes and her husband Marcus of Portland, PA, and a great grandson, Benjamin, of East Stroudsburg. She was also a loving grandmother to Shannon Murphy of Blairstown NJ, Shawn Paterson of Moscow Idaho, Katie Paterson of Lake Ariel PA, and Brielle Sutton of East Stroudsburg. In addition to her parents Claire is predeceased by her son Michael, who passed in 1981 and her late husband who passed in 2015. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, December 4 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery, Oxford, NJ. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 205 North Seventh Street Stroudsburg PA 18360.
