Obituary of Ruth Ann Mattos

Ruth Ann Mattos, 95, of Bangor, PA and previously of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on December 8, 2021 at Slate Belt Nursing Home, Bangor, PA. Ruth was born on July 11, 1926 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Dominick and Frances Pulsinelli. She was a graduate of Washington High School class of 1944. She married the love of her life, George L. Mattos, and together they raised three children. Ruth Ann was the true matriarch of the family and enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially going on road trips and celebrating large Christmas dinners with the entire family. She cherished every moment she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of Ruth Ann's favorite hobby was to go fishing with her family. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Ruth Ann is survived by her sons; George E. Mattos (Faye), Daniel Mattos, and Barry Mattos. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Jennifer Martin (Shawn), George M. Mattos (Sheila), Kira Mattos, and Shannon Mattos, and her great- grandchildren; Gabrielle, Mattie, Chase, Colten, and Sienna. She is also survived by her brother, Dominick Pulsinelli Jr. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband George L. Mattos, who passed in 2001. Ruth Ann is also predeceased by her siblings; Fred Pulsinelli, Sam Pulsinelli, Joseph Pulsinelli, Frank Pulsinelli, John Pulsinelli, Rose Menger and Mary Dennison. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Washington, NJ will immediately follow.
