Obituary of Deborah C Castner
Deborah "Debbie" C. Castner of Washington, New Jersey went to her heavenly home on December 8th, 2021, at the age of 70. She was born on November 28th, 1951, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey to the late Harry and Grace Castner. Debbie is survived by her brothers, Lee, Scott, Brad, and Bret Castner; and her daughter, Alexis Cowan.
Debbie was a woman of faith—who loved the Lord, her family, and friends. Her favorite Bible verse was Numbers 6:24-26:
"The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
Debbie excelled in school. She graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School, Class of 1970, and Trenton State College (along with her brother, "Chip"), Class of 1981, with a degree in Elementary Education. Over the years, Debbie enjoyed teaching at the Warren Hills Regional Middle School, waitressing at the Sunset Inn, and helping individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities at The Arc of Warren County.
Debbie's proudest moment in life was giving birth to her beautiful daughter, Alexis. Spending time with Alexis, Keith (her partner of 8 years), and Kevin (Keith's son) were among Debbie's happiest moments. She loved caring for Kevin, helping him with his schoolwork, spending quality time with him at the park, and spoiling him on "Treat Day".
Debbie, thank you for blessing us all with your kindness, generosity, and grace. You will truly be missed, remembered, and honored. We love you always!
