Obituary of Nikole Broennle Comerro

Nikole "Broennle" Comerro, 44, of Washington, NJ lost a brave battle against colon cancer on December 21, 2021 at the Center for Hope in Elizabeth, NJ. Nikole was born on February 25, 1977 in Hackettstown, NJ to William and Mary Anne "Barcik" Broennle. She was a 1995 graduate of Warren Hills Regional High School. After graduation, she took some classes at Morris County Community College and also Warren County Community College. Earlier in her life, Nikole can be remembered as a waitress and bartender at the Sports Scene Restaurant in Washington where she began working as soon as she turned 16. She was the one always smiling. She also worked as a camp counselor during her summers after graduation and took great pleasure in caring for the young camp members. She worked in admissions for Centenary College for a number of years before the birth of her son. Nikole found her calling when she began her employment as an ER tech in Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ and her final employment, also as an ER tech with Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. She had hoped to enroll in nursing classes, but was diagnosed with cancer before she had the opportunity to do so. In her teens, Nikole followed Kyle Petty in Nascar going so far as painting her face green and orange the colors of his racecar during numerous races that she attended. She loved gathering her son and all her friends and their children and going to the beach. If it were possible, she probably would never have gotten up from her beach chair where she loved sitting and reading and watching the kids play. She was a fanatical Eagle and Flyers fan and attended numerous events for both teams. Recently, Nikole took up crocheting and took great pleasure in presenting her finished products to her friends at work. In addition to her parents, Nikole is survived by her beloved husband, Kyle Comerro, her son Matthew William Comerro and her brother Eric F. Broennle and sister-in-law Kim. She is predeceased by her cousin, Jeremy Barcik and both sets of grandparents. Nikole is also survived by her in-laws, Robert and Janet Comerro. Her Aunt Maureen and Uncle Robert Broennle. Aunts and uncles; Joseph and Sandra Barcik, Edward and Krystyna Barcik, Frank Barcik. Also, Aunts and Uncles; Mark and Jackie Ostir, Christina Page Comerro and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her dearest friends who stood beside her and helped as much as possible during her battle: Amy, Michelle, Janette, Nicole, Crystal and Pam. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Faith Discovery Church. 33 Brass Castle Road. Washington, NJ 07882 from 12 - 3:30 p.m. A Service of remembrance will begin at 3:30 at The Church. Cremation was held privately.
