Obituary of Rev. Nancy L. Idenden

The Rev. Nancy L. Idenden, 54, passed away December 1, 2012 . Nancy passed away peacefully at the House of Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, NJ. Born: In Belleville, NJ, March 9, 1958, daughter of John E. Idenden Sr. and the late Nancy Connely Idenden. Personal: She lived in Belvidere, NJ, previously in Columbus, NE. Nancy was an Episcopal Priest. She was ordained at Grace Church, Madison, WI in 1993. She retired in 2009. Nancy is a 1980 graduate of Chatham University in Pittsburgh; after working for several years she went on to complete her MDiv at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, in 1991. Nancy loved animals, especially her dogs who were her constant companions. Memberships: The Rev. Nancy Idenden served as rector for eight years at Grace Episcopal Church in Columbus, NE before retiring due to illness. While living in Columbus, Nancy was active in the Prairie Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross and in the Julian of Norwich Chapter of the Order of the Daughters of the King. She was also a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants. Survivors: her loving father, John E. Idenden of Belleville, NJ; three loving brothers, John "Jack" Idenden Jr. of White Twp., NJ, Bill Idenden and his wife Elaine of Belleville, NJ and Tom Idenden of Belleville, NJ; three nephews; and her beloved dogs, Onyx and Sugar. She was predeceased by her mother, Nancy Idenden. Services: A memorial service will be Saturday, December 15, 2012 , at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Laurie Matarazzo and the Rev. Sherry Karasik officiating, at The First Presbyterian Church of Oxford at Hazen, Route 519 & Brass Castle Road, Belvidere, NJ 07823. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
