I want to send my condolences to Rob's family. It is difficult for a teacher to see students pass before him or her. I cannot imagine how a parent feels. HZF
Sincerely,
Tony Pucciarelli, former SHP English teacher

Very sad to hear that another Preppy has passed from my era - the late 80s. Rob was in my Spanish class with Mr. Morris on the old campus, though I was a year ahead of him. Mr. Morris always made a crack about his last name, reducing it to "Gas" like gasoline of course! May G-d bless your family in this time of loss. Giacomo "James" Knox

Words cannot adequately express our sadness. We’ve lost a great friend and coworker who was brilliant and decent and funny and a fantastic mentor to all of us.

Rob and I met several years ago while he worked at Weston. Through professional discussions a friendship emerged which transcended work. Rob did well raising children and embraced any and all challenges along the way. And then Big Dubs came along the spark returned. Rob was a great man who embraced all those who came across his path. I loved him and will miss him so.

I first met Rob on a soccer field back in 2001, and probably remarked at how old he was (of course he wasn't) shortly after. I was immediately impressed with his wit and humor and quick response. I'm sure he complety put me in my place, and made me laugh while he did it. But more than that, I would soon also learn he was just as committed and generous to the people around him as he was gifted in his humor. Over the 20 something years after we first met, I can only think of the laughter and joy he brought me and those around, and the ways he always helped (even when it came with a slew jokes at my expense). Over the years while we saw each other less, when we did get together it felt to me like time never passed...well, maybe just enough for some aging related jokes hurled back and forth. I am sad for his passing today, and my sincerest condolences to his family. As sad as I am today, I will be glad every other day for all the joyful memories he has given me.
