Obituary of Leopoldo H Lucero
Leopoldo H. Lucero (Leo), 71, of Washington Township, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 9, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA, surrounded by his loving family.
Leo was born on March 1, 1951 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to the late Leopoldo H. Lucero Sr. and Carmen Cornejo Lucero.
Leo earned his college degree in Agricultural Engineering from Uni de Guayaquil in Ecuador. In 1977, he married the love of his life Martha Bastidas Lucero. Prior to his retirement in 2020 he was employed as a Lot Manager for Lynne's Auto Dealership in Bloomfield, NJ. He was a man of many interests; he enjoyed short-wave radios and building model airplanes. He was also an avid gardener and enjoyed gardening in his backyard as well as, BBQing with his family. He also loved to work on cars, restore furniture, and build computers. Leo also had a strong interest in Astronomy and owned several telescopes, and you could often find him stargazing. As a history buff, he would also always watch the History Channel and also enjoyed watching documentaries. He was a man with vast knowledge and knew a little bit of everything. Above all, he loved his family most, especially spending time and playing with his beloved grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his devoted wife of 45 years, Martha Lucero, he is also survived by his Mother Carmela Lucero, his loving son Carlos Andres Lucero, his wife Erika, his loving son Juan Pablo Lucero, his companion Tiffany and his cherished grandchildren, Natalia Andrea and Cruz Andres Lucero. He also leaves behind his siblings; Maria Angela Lucero, Maria Del Carmen Lucero, Victor Lucero, Julio Lucero, Ana Maria Grijalba, Auxiliadora Dominguez and Clara Maria Patricia Valle.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be announced at a later date.
