It Was Time
It was time for me to take that walk.
It was time, for I was too tired to carry on.
It was time for me to leave.
For it was time for me to be pain-free.
Though there was pain and there were tears,
I had to leave, so have no fear.
As you promised, you took care of me in sickness and in pain.
Take comfort in knowing that in your earthly loss is now heaven's
gain.
Keep all the beautiful memories we shared and tuck them deep in
your heart.
We fulfilled our vows before God: "Till death do us part."
It was time for me to leave
The pain too much to bear
So I took the Lord's hand
And walked with Him to the Promised Land
It was time my dear; it was time my friends.
I gave each of all I could give.
It was time to leave; it was time for me to eternally live.

Our condolences to my brother. There is so much to say about my sister in law, Janice, in the 30+ years she has been in the family. What I do want to say is, I will miss whenever we called each other, we would just burst out laughing over nothing before we could even get the words out. The way you had so much love for your nephews and niece, the Xmas get togethers, ( I am so happy to have made your last Xmas a happy one), our joking, our talks, (especially the last few we were able to have), the way you have given all of your love and caring to my brother, you two make, ( I won’t say made), such an example of what a real couple is, ( your goofiness, all of it). You have the biggest heart, such a friendly, caring smile, you are loved by all. You were such a fighter through it all. I am so grateful that I got to spend your last few months with you, (watched price is right every morning with you too). I know you will keep watch over Butch, as we all will. I am so happy to have had you for my sister in law and wouldn’t want it any other way. I am missing you terribly, you will always be “Sissy” to me. I will never forget last week with your last goodbye wave, smile and said, “adios sissy”. You will forever be in our hearts, we love you, never forget. You are in peace now, rest sissy. I love you.

I want to share one more thing. It was a month ago when I was with you, and the aide, you had told us the story from the very beginning of how you and butch met, everything you had been through, got married, I was there, the rest is history. I laughed, had a tear, it was a tear of joy. I especially loved it when you ended with, “ your brother is the best husband I ever had.” I told him that when he got home from work, the smile on his face was precious. He will always treasure that and you.

Sincere condolences to all who loved Janice. We will all miss being greeted by her smile and warm, loving heart. Treasure all the beautiful memories she shared with everyone. She was a warrior, and fought an amazing fight against her illness as long as she possibly could. Now she is at peace. Amen.
