Edna & I grew up on Grove Street in Westfield. She gave me a couple pictures of us when we were 5 years old. She always was cheerful with a warm smile. She will be missed.

I'm so sad to learn of Edna's passing. We lived across the court yard from Edna. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend. We remained in touch for over 35 years. She always sent cards and wonderful notes at the holidays. I'll always think of her driving around in the vw bug "Gerti"., and limbing up the big trees next to her home. She was a lovely person and I'm sure will be greatly missed. Rest in peace dear Edna's.

I am so sad to read about the passing of Edna. She was a friend of my family for 60 years. During the 1960's she lived in the third floor apartment of my mom and dad's house in Plainfield. I knew her all my life. She was really family. After my dad's death, she called my mom every year on my dad's birthday to reminisce about him. After my mom's death she emailed me every year on both my mom and dad's birthdays to keep their memories alive. She was a wonderful person- I feel her loss greatly.

I'm so sorry to learn Edna has left us. I knew her all my life (though mostly from afar) as she was my cousin. I always enjoyed talking to her, hearing what she thought, sharing memories. I admire her spirit and will always think of her fondly.

I am very sad to learn My cousin Edna is now gone. My Mom and hers were sisters, and I have many fond memories of her visits on her way to and from NC, FL and other fun places. RIP Edna.

So sad to see this obituary about Edna. Edna lived across the street from my husband and I when we bought our first house. I ran into her about two years ago and we just talked and talked and talked. Rest in peace. I hope you get to meet up with Mike in heaven.

Edna was a part of our family for many, many years. A friend to our mom, Patricia and best buddy to our cousin Ruth Ann. She helped us with finishing work on our deck and we enjoyed catching up over lunch through the years.
I waited with Ruth Ann when Edna had her surgery and visited her while she convalesced. She had an iron will and was a steadfast, true blue friend and I will miss her tremendously.

We lived next door to Edna for 18 years. A relationship that started out being merely "neighborly" quickly became "friendly" and then, as we got to know her, we became "family". Edna would literally go out of her way to help anyone in need. A lover of animals (particularly cats). A gardener who planted the most beautiful irises and, in our case, the cleaner of gutters (because we were not fond of climbing up on our roof!). She'd put up the ladder and do it without hesitation and without being asked. Edna was someone we could always count on for help with anything. If you were her friend, nothing was too much trouble. She truly was a special person and I'm blessed to have known her. I hope you were as well. RIP Edna. You've more than earned it. We love you.
