Obituary of Allan C Jones

Allan Clayton Jones, 76, of Washington, NJ passed away suddenly at St. Luke's Warren Hospital on December 29, 2022. Allan was born on March 19, 1946 in Passaic, NJ to the late Clayton and Alberta "Derling" Jones. Allan grew up in Little Falls, NJ, graduated in 1964 from Passaic High School in Little Falls, NJ and ran cross country. He moved to Washington in 1983. He was employed by Shore Point Distributing Co. for many years before his retirement in 2012. Allan was an avid golfer and enjoyed grilling on his decks. He umpired for the ASA American Softball League. He also enjoyed music and going to concerts and attending plays in New York City. Besides golfing, one of his favorite getaways was to the beach. He enjoyed many beach vacations with his family and his partner. Allan is survived by his partner, Laurie Becht; his first wife, Sue Ann Erickson; daughters, Allison Loudin and her husband Eben, and Leslie Cleek and her husband Gary; his son, Christian Jones; a stepson, John Prescott; a stepbrother, Bryan Jones and his partner Robin Curtis; 3 grandchildren, Anders Loudin, Heath Loudin and Calder Cleek. He adored his cats, Stretch, Poppy, Fluff, Flash and especially Ke'Chara. A Celebration of Allan's Life will be held On January 28, 2023. A future memorial service for family and friends led by Pastor Jerry Scott will be held at Warren Hills Memorial Home in early spring.
