Obituary of Clayton F. Flyte

Clayton Franklin Flyte, 71, of White Township, NJ passed away peacefully on January 2, 2023 at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital. Clayton was born on April 3, 1951 in Easton, PA to the late Oscar J. and Miriam C. “Haffling” Flyte. He attended Pen Argyl Area High School and joined the United States Marine Corps in 1968. He served in Vietnam and Okinawa. Clayton was proud to be a veteran and was a member of the VFW Post 5119 Spruce Run Memorial in Glen Gardner, NJ. He was employed as a supervisor for Fluortek Co in Easton, PA for many years until his retirement in 2013. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors. Clayton also enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. He was also an avid motorcyclist. Clayton is survived by his loving companion, Rhonda Olswfski; his caring children, Clayton T. Flyte and his wife Stacey, his daughter Cathy Tocket and her husband Seann; sisters, Rebecca Lessig and Connie Stanmets and husband Greg; a brother, James G. Flyte and wife Diane; grandchildren, Makenna LaRose and husband David, Brett Tocket, Kayla Flyte and Haley Flyte; great- grandchildren Mason, Chase and Reese. In addition to his parents Clayton was preceded in death by a brother Harvey, a sister Verna Bauer. and brother-in-law Wayne E. Lessig. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday January 9, 2023 from 12- 1 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Montana Mountain Cemetery in Harmony with military honors.
