Obituary of Robert C. Schuch Sr.

Robert C. Schuch Sr., 88, of Washington, NJ passed away on January 30, 2023 at his home with loved ones by his side. Robert was born on October 8, 1934 in Newark, NJ to the late Otto and Bertha (Haeder) Schuch. He served his country proudly in the United States Army at the time of the Korean War. Robert would later go on to work as a piping designer until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years and had a passion for flying. Robert had his pilot's license and enjoyed taking family members on short day trips. He was also an avid golfer and loved to watch the PGA Tour on TV. Robert is survived by his two sons; Robert Schuch Jr. of Ooltewah, TN and William Schuch of Easton, PA. He also leaves behind his eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and a sister in law, Irene Luckey. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara, who passed in 2021. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 9:30 to 11:00 at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service celebrating Robert's life will take place at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
