Obituary of Grace E. Valverde Acuna

Grace E. Valverde Acuna, 53, of Washington, NJ and previously of Flemington, NJ passed away peacefully on February 21, 2023 at home with loved ones by her side. Grace was born on March 9, 1969 in San Isidro, Costa Rica to Flor Acuna and the late Bettran Valverde. Grace was a devout Catholic and attended St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Washington, NJ. She enjoyed reading and was incredibly artistic, and enjoyed painting. Family and faith were the most important thing to Grace. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Guillermo Cruz, and their children Kenneth Cruz and Ashley Cruz. Grace also leaves behind her mother, Flor Acuna and siblings; Guisel, Cecilia, Yorleny, Roy, and Roylan Valverde Acuna. She is preceded in death by her father, Bettran Valverde. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A catholic mass will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Washington, NJ. Cremation will be held privately following the services.
