Obituary of Fanta F Fofana

Fanta F. Fofana (54) was born in Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly known as Zaire) on 15th December 1968 to the late Mr. Bengaly Fofana, and Mrs. Bintou Traore, one of five children – all from Guinea. On May 23, 2023, late in the afternoon, the Lord Jesus Christ whom she had chosen as her Lord and Savior many years ago called her home. The world changed permanently for her four surviving children, Lossenie Fofana (19), Bintou Fofana (19) (and their father Sabo Farman), Blessing Ekwuazi (17), and Caroline Ekwuazi (15) (and their father Chris Ekwuazi). Fanta is also survived by her four siblings Mohamed Fofana, Mariame Fofana, Massaba Fofana, Guebou Fofana, many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends from different parts of USA and all around the world, and Warren Hills community, school teachers, coaches, and friends who became family over time. Fanta moved her family to Washington, Warren County, NJ in 2014 when the oldest children were in elementary school. Warren Hills community have watched her raise very amazing children despite being on and off chemotherapy or radiation over the years. She will be remembered as a brave, resilient mother who fully relied on the Lord Jesus Christ for everything. If one's faith was fainting, she was there to remind us to pray and trust in the Lord. If we got tired, she was there to remind us to be brave, that every day was a gift, and that we should do our best every day because tomorrow was not guaranteed. She loved dancing to her African Christian music and when in get togethers, she was never shy to dance as long as she could, whether she was standing strong, or was exhausted from treatment, she danced sitting on the chair. Above all, she was a faithful friend and confidant to her children. She lived the example of making the best out of every day with strength and vigilance and in the fear of God. Fanta will forever be loved, missed, always cherished, and longed for; she will never be forgotten. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home.
