I am so very sorry to learn of Jane's passing. My condolences to her family. Theodore, pictured here after being awarded his "Farm Dog" title is the most incredible dog I have ever known. We are so incredibly sad for this great loss. I hope Jane is surrounded by everyone she loved including her fur babies.

Jane was a very special person. I knew her from the dog shows. She showed some dogs for our breeder. She was always professional, happy, energetic and kind. She dressed so uniquely and looked so beautiful in the ring. She always wore fabulous hats. Her enthusiasm and commitment to excellence was contagious. I miss her very much. We always enjoyed one another’s Facebook posts and shared our faith in Jesus. I know that she’s in heaven in His presence. She’s healthy and whole. Jane, I will see you in the future in the Pasture!
Love,
Alyssa Storm-Gould

Rest Easy, Jane. I will always treasure the times I came by for a visit, with your pups Tori and Jeter, whom you entrusted me to raise and take care of. Your smile and humor were infectious and your talent for showing handlers the ropes in the show ring was second to none, you always made it look so darn easy! RIP Jane, until our paths cross again.

In Memory of Jane Hobson
The Rottweiler community lost not only a great handler, but a great Breeder, and a very special friend as well.
I met Jane when I got my first Rottweiler show puppy Maverick. I went to a couple of her handling classes, and she made me feel welcomed. I had no idea what I was doing. I had no idea what a P in the leash was. But she was nice enough to explain every single detail to me.
About a year later, I ran into her at the Colonial Rottweiler Club Specialty, and she asked me point blank….Why I was not showing my own dog? She said…..You can do this!!
I then went back to her handling classes for a solid 4 months. I showed up every week. Sometimes I was her only student and trust me, she did not take it easy on me. She still had me run around that ring over and over. Up and back, Up and back.
Finally one week she asked me when I was going to enter and show Maverick. So I continue to take him to classes and started showing Maverick in the Breed Ring working towards his Grand Champion Title.
About 6 months later, Jane and I were entered at the same show. She was showing a class dog and I was showing Maverick in Best of Breed. She gave me pointers the entire time we were in the ring. Well, that day we won best of breed!! Are very first one. I couldn’t believe it. I was so excited. She asked me why don’t you believe this? He’s a beautiful dog and you do a great job with him. I thanked her in the ring for always believing in us. But the best part was, she made Me Believe in Myself!!
We will never forget her kindness, her thoughtfulness, and her willingness to always help a fellow competitor. We will miss you Babe!!!
RIP Jane, I am sure you’re at the bridge greeting all the animals you touched!!

I met Jane 31 years ago and have been in awe of her ever since. Her brilliance and gifts with dogs were beyond measure. Over the decades I got 7 Rottweilers from Jane, and each brought extraordinary joy to me and my family. Jane was always a steadfast friend and mentor to me, without fail. Losing Jane Hobson devastates me, leaving a hole in my life that cannot be filled.

I had the pleasure of meeting the lady in the hat at a rottweiler specialty in 2011. I was in awe to see right in front of me that lady that I admired in the show ads that always represented her dogs so beautifully.
The lady with the big infectious smile. That lady was indeed Jane Hobson.....I felt like a kid meeting a movie star but Jane made me feel welcome in a Rottweiler world I had never experienced before. Her knowledge of the breed and her accomplishments were large. I am honored to have met such an amazing person that shared her love for dogs with me. She will be missed by all. Prayers for her family.

What an amazing honor to have known Jane. She has helped us so much over the years, whether it was during class or just a quick tip ringside. She was a beautiful, strong woman and it’s hard to believe we won’t be seeing her at shows anymore. Her presence will be felt through everyone she has helped throughout the years. She will be greatly missed.

I will forever be grateful for all Jane taught me- she is one of my mentors and a cherished friend. These past 30 years or so we’re not enough time… there was still so much more to do…
I take comfort in knowing she is with Jesus in Heaven surrounded by all the dogs she loved…
Until we me meet again my friend…. Give Truman a hug for me…

Jane had such a strong and positive influence upon so many. Her quick wit and infectious smile were always welcoming. I am forever grateful for the kindness and guidance she showed a new junior handler 20+ years ago and the support she continued to give. She will be sorely missed.
