Obituary of Francis A Molenda

Francis A. Molenda Sr., 89, of Washington Township, NJ passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital. Frank was born on May 24, 1934 in Plains, PA to the late Stephen and Laura "Symuleski" Molenda. He grew up in Plains, PA and graduated from Plains High school class of 1952. He attended Bloomsburg College and married Constance Remish in 1955. They moved to New Jersey and he proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Frank graduated Fairleigh Dickinson University attending night classes as a mechanical engineer. Frank worked as a project engineer for W.R. Grace, Mobil Chemical, Edison Plastics and Killian Extruders before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Frank also liked to golf, fish and attend many NY Giants football games as he was a season ticket holder since 1959. He was an avid reader and a Mensa Member. Frank also loved the NY Times crossword puzzles. In addition to his loving wife Connie, Frank is survived by a son, Frank A. Molenda Jr. and his wife Holly. 3 grandchildren, Olivia Molenda, Ava Molenda, and Luke Molenda; Frank was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Molenda and Stephen Molenda Jr. Family and friends may pay their respect on Thursday February 1, 2024 from 4-6 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 2, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 200 Carlton Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
