Obituary of Marilyn Mae Derr

Marilyn Mae Derr, 92 a lifelong resident of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on March 6, 2024 at Hunterdon Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Marilyn was born on January 21, 1932 in Belvidere, NJ to the late Arthur and Laura Milner. She was a graduate of Belvidere High School class of 1952 and enjoyed attending her alumni reunions. Marilyn was a supervisor at West Jersey Telephone in Belvidere, NJ and a customer service representative with United Telephone in Clinton, NJ prior to her retirement in 1994. She was a past member of the Moose Lodge, an avid reader and enjoyed listening to audiobooks. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and sewing. Above all she loved her family. She would play video games with her grandchildren often teaching them how to advance to the next level. She will be greatly missed by all. Marilyn is survived by her loving children; Margaret Rush and her husband Dale of Washington, Fred Johnson and his companion Lorrie DeRemer of Chestnut Hill PA, Karen Frutchey and her husband Kevin of Oxford. She also leaves behind her caring siblings, Barbara Kries of Washington and Carol Johnson of Oxford, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Summerfield United Methodist Church, 70 Summerfield Road, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
