Obituary of Eric A Simmons

Eric A. Simmons, 61, of Columbia, NJ and previously of Belvidere, NJ passed away on March 23, 2024 At Hackettstown Hospital with loved ones by his side. Eric was born on September 5, 1962 in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Robert and Marcia Simmons. He attended Belvidere High School and Warren Tech High School. Eric worked at Hoffmann-La Roche as a pipe fitter starting in 1979 and continued after DSM took over. He retired in 2019. During his time there, Eric was a member of the Hoffmann La Roche Ski Club and Tennis Club. He enjoyed traveling on cruises with his wife, Patty and going on international ski trips all over the world. Eric is survived by his wife of 20 years, Patricia "Patty" Simmons and his siblings; Julie and her wife Marlene, Gordon and Brian and his wife Karen. He also leaves behind nieces; Rachael, Marie, Susan and Barbara, nephew, David and his beloved fur babies; Libby and Duke. In addition to his parents, Eric is predeceased by his brother, Sean Simmons, his sister, Jean Simmons and his sister in law Martha "Marti". Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A Memorial Service celebrating Eric's life will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home.
