Many condolences to the family of Twila Tanko. She was in the watercolor class at the Metuchen Senior Center that I taught. She was charming, quirky, a true free spirit, and a wonderful artist. I remember joining in to the garden afternoon that she had held at her home in Sewaren: what a magnificent garden! She and her husband had put in a lot of work and joy into it. We all shared a wonderful time together. Several of the artists set up easels and painted areas of the garden or individual flowers. She will always remain a bright light in our local art and group of artists.
