Obituary of Rose Marie Brewster

Rose Marie Brewster, 89, a lifelong resident of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2024. Rose was born on October 14, 1934, in Phillipsburg, NJ, to the late Robert Heater, Sr. and Minnie Albright Heater. Rose graduated from Washington High School class of 1952. She worked for Fliegauf Jewelers for more than 30 years until her retirement. Rose was a past member of the Washington Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Phillipsburg Alliance Church. She enjoyed crocheting and watching old movies and the Hallmark Channel. She cherished time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. Rose is survived by her daughters, Ginger Jerzak (Mike), June Dwyer (John) and Tammy Hanson (Gerry); Brothers, Richard Heater (Candi) and Ralph Heater (Sharon); Grandchildren Sarah Jerzak, Emily Jerzak Goins (Jim), Amanda Jerzak, Tim Jerzak (Amy), Alli Jerzak, Jonna Dwyer Foy (Trevor), Samantha Hanson (Tim Pavlik), Jennifer Hanson and Justin Hanson (Kyrsten); Great grandchildren Josiah Goins and Norah Goins, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband William Brewster, brothers: Robert Heater Jr., Ronald Heater, and Russell Heater; a sister, Rita Mae Heater and a grandson Andrew Jerzak. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday September 23, 2024 from 10 – 11:30 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ, 07882. A funeral service celebrating Rose Marie's life will begin at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ.
