I was lucky enough to be asked to help out for a couple weeks on an 8 sided custom house Robert was building on top of a mountain in the Catskills in the mid 90’s. I stayed 4 months. When I left, I realized this was the best carpenter I would ever work with …..it was true then & still true today-30 years later. Sorry Anthony & Julia- he was a master craftsman.

I cannot say enough good things about Robert. He was a wonderful man who was always there to help others when they needed advice or to lend a helping hand. Robert had many exceptional qualities, but the two that stand out for me are: He.never spoke an unkind word about anyone; and whenever life threw a curve ball his way, he accepted it with optimization and dignity.
Robert's craftsmanship was impeccable. Forty years ago Robert and his crew transformed my basement into a beautiful recreation room that is still admired by people visiting my house today. Over the years Robert did many projects on my house and I was delighted to have him work here.
The world has lost a remarkable man who will be missed by all who were lucky to know him, but Heaven has gained a guardian angel. My sympathy to the Cacciarelli family. Rest in peace Robert. Love, Diane

Robert was a kind and gentle soul. An excellent builder and woodworker, he completed many jobs for relatives and was always in demand. We remember him most for his enjoyment of conversations over good food at cousin’s lunches, weddings, and meals with family. Everyone was fortunate to know him and, in turn, he was fortunate to have wonderful siblings and children, Alex, Elaine, Jules and Anthony. May they find peace in his memory.
With love and aloha,
Cliff and Barbara

Robert was an amazing person. Everyone loved Robert. He was the type of guy that once you met him, you immediately loved him. He was such a a kind and patient man. I grew up seeing Robert at family gatherings which I always enjoyed our conversations. Not only would I get to see him in family gatherings, but to see what a talented woodworker he really was. Robert completed so many fantastic jobs at my house growing up. Robert will always remain special in my heart. Love, Jeff, Erin, Ryan, and Kristina

I met Bob when I was twelve and he eighteen. He instantly became a hero of mine, so much so that I mimiced him, brushing my chin as he did with his goatee. He taught me much about carpentry, though his skill was not to be equaled. I'll remember always hunting, laughing, joking and bumming cigarettes when I didn't have a quarter for a pack at Wabbies. I'll always keep you in my thoughts and cherish your memory.

We are deeply sorry for your loss. Your father was truly a remarkable man, a master carpenter whose skillful hands built not just beautiful creations, but also a legacy of love and kindness that lives on through you. He instilled in you both, Julia and Anthony, a deep sense of creativity and a genuine desire to help others, qualities that are so evident in both of you.
We will always think fondly of the projects he shared, and how his spirit will continue to be present in everything you create together. His memory will live on in the love and craftsmanship he passed down. May he rest in peace, and may you find comfort in the legacy he has left behind!
With deepest sympathy,
Lil, Tom, Danny, Tommy and Analisa Cannizzo

Bob was indeed a wonderful builder and expert craftsman, as well as a very helpful and friendly neighbor. We first met Bob when we bought a plot of land that happened to be across the road from his house in Mansfield Township. My wife and I were out at the wooded property walking around, discussing where we could build our house. We heard some talking from across the road, up by a house on the hill. We walked over and introduced ourselves. After some initial greetings, I said we intended to build our log home across the road. Bob's first response was, "I'm sorry to hear that." We knew exactly what he meant -- he loved the trees and woods all around the area, and he didn't want to see it destroyed. We assured him we too wanted to be surrounded by trees, and we would try to minimize removal of trees as much as possible. And when, in that conversation, we found out that he was a builder, we told him that we were in fact looking for a builder to handle the construction after the company supplying the logs had finished "stacking" the logs. He agreed to be our builder and advisor. He came up with solutions for issues that resulted from the work done by the log company crew, as well as creating some custom pieces for the house and taking great care with his work and that of his crew. I remember one weekend when we had driven out to see the progress, he was up on a scaffold outside the second story level of a window, carefully chisel-carving the edge of the outdoor framing so that it would fit the contours of the logs. We feel very lucky to have been his neighbor and friend.
