Obituary of Elly Duve
Elly Duve, 96, died Friday, February 10, 2006, in Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield, N.J.
Born: December 4, 1909 in Kiel, Germany, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna Luders.
Personal: Elly came to the United States at age 20. She had lived in Washington and Hackettstown, N.J. and in Virginia as well. Elly was a homemaker. She volunteered as a Pink Lady for Wytheville Hospital in Virginia. She was of the Lutheran faith. Her husband, Gustav, died earlier. Survivors: a daughter, Helga Monika Dalezious, in Greece; four sons, Wolfgang Duve, in Maine, Rodger Duve, in New York, John Peter Duve, in Illinois, and George Duve, of Washington, N.J.; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. A brother, Eric, died earlier.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday in Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, N.J. Call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday in the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
