Obituary of Dorsey Eddy

Dorsey "Glenn" Eddy, 68, of Mansfield Township, NJ passed away suddenly Sunday, October 10, 2010 with his family by his side. Born: February 17, 1942 in Fairview, WV, he was a son of the late Ralph and Mary Ethel Davis Eddy. Personal: He lived in the Washington, NJ for the past 35 years and had previously lived in Frenchtown. He graduated from high school in 1960. Glenn served in the Army where he earned a sharpshooter designation. He was a sheet metal manufacturing supervisor for The Witte Company in Washington, NJ for the past 40 years. A master tinkerer, Glenn enjoyed antique cars, farm equipment and machinery and took special pride in restoring Graveley tractors. Memberships: He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Washington. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of almost 35 years, Patrice DiGirolamo Eddy; two sons, David Glenn Eddy and his wife Laurie of Bangor, and Daniel P. Eddy of Califon; two daughters, Teresa Eddy of Bangor and Melinda Meyer of Easton; two brothers, Earl and Kyle; four sisters, Gracie Drake, Odra Mitchell, Helen DeMent and Karen Mitchell, all of West Virginia; seven grandchildren, Jessica, David Jr., Justin, Christopher, Samantha, Dalton and Austin; as well as his in-laws, Jay and Elizabeth DiGirolamo, with whom he lived. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Ethel; as well as his brothers, Dale, Carl and Jesse Eddy. Services: Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, October 15 in Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 16 in St. Joseph's RC Church, Washington. Committal will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home.
