Rena Preziosi, 98, of New Village, NJ, Rena passed away peacefully at home November 23, 2012. Born: December 21, 1913 in New Village, NJ to the late Alfred and Anna Bevilacqua. Personal: Lifelong resident of New Village. Occupation as a presser. Rena worked for many years in the dry cleaning business at Washington Cleaners. Rena retired in 1976 at the age of 62. She was of the Catholic faith and a parishioner of Sts. Philip & James Roman Catholic Church. Rena loved cooking and baking especially for her family. She was famous for her homemade pasta and ravioli and her cream pies. She loved children and truly enjoyed the time she would spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all. Survivors: Her loving daughters, Dorothy McDermott and her husband, Robert of Florida, and Loretta Hopkins and her husband, Jacob of New Village, NJ; five sisters, Mary Guidi of Nazareth, PA, Erma Chiu of Belvidere, NJ, Eva Butler of New Village, NJ, Josephine Amey of New Village, NJ, Alvera Pettinari of Washington NJ; eight grandchildren, Melinda McDermott, Robert McDermott, Jeff Wildrick, Scott Wildrick, Debbie Devries, Kevin Hopkins, Michael Hopkins and Brian Hopkins; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Rena is predeceased by her husband, George Preziosi; a daughter, Betty Wildrick; a sister, Fermina Rossini; and a great granddaughter, Melissa Youngclaus. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 with Father Blaise Baran officiating at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Burial at St. Philip & St. James Cemetery, Route 519 & US Highway 22, Greenwich Twp. NJ 08865.
