Obituary of Dorothy Edolo
Dorothy "Dottie" Edolo, 73, of Palmer Township, Pa, died peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Hospice of VNA of St. Luke's.
Born: On March 22, 19 35 in Harmony, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Violet Dugans.
Personal: She and her husband, Frank, were married for 52 years.
She was born and raised in Harmony. She had lived in Palmer Township for the last 3 years, coming from Washington, NJ.
Dottie worked in customer service for the Sears & Roebuck catalog store in Washington, for 25 years. She retired in 1992. She graduated from Patterson Eastside High School, Class of 1952. Dottie loved spending time at the Ingersoll Dam on Montana Mountain. She loved to travel with her husband throughout the United States and Canada, especially Alaska. She was an avid reader. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend, and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Memberships: Dottie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Washington, where she was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society, and she volunteered for bingo.
Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, Frank, she is survived by two daughters, Kim Elaine Edolo of Forks Township, Pa, and Kathy Ann Renigar and her husband, Scot of Forks Township; two brothers, Lewis Dugans of Couders Port, Pa, and Jack Dugans of Forks Township.
Services: A visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the church, 200 Carlton Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882, with Father Blaise Baran officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church, or to the Hospice of VNA of St. Luke's, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
