Obituary of Roberta M. Evans

Roberta M. Evans, 70, of Oxford, NJ, died Monday, November 6, 2006 in Warren Haven. Born: On October 14, 1936 in Bound Brook, NJ, she was a daughter of the late George and Dorothy Eckert Sofield. Personal: Roberta was employed as a driver with the Somerset County Transportation Dept. from 1978 to 2000. Prior to that, she worked for Somerville Shop Rite and A& P in the meat dept. Roberta graduated from Somerville High School. She previously lived in Manville, NJ. She enjoyed family, needlecraft, the Yankees, and music. Survivors: She is survived by two daughters, Susan Clark of Kansas, and Mary Ann Evans and her companion, Jim Kimble of Knowlton, NJ; a son, George of Belvidere, NJ; a sister, Martha Hoag of Belvidere, NJ; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A sister, Anna Marie Pierri, died earlier. Services: Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. Funeral services will be Friday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will be private. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, Washington, NJ.
