Obituary of Norma Shoremount
Norma Shoremount, 83, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2010 surrounded by her children at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.
Born: in Brooklyn, NY on December 2, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Ragnvald and Martha Grimstad.
Personal: She lived in Centreville, VA, formerly of Blairstown, NJ and South Plainfield, NJ. Norma worked as a medical assistant in Plainfield, NJ. Norma graduated from Bay Ridge High School, Brooklyn, NY. Norma taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and was a leader of Pioneer Girls.
Memberships: She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Blairstown.
Survivors: a daughter, Randi Jean Bly and her husband Carl A. of Centreville, VA; a son, Robert A. Shoremount and his wife Deborah M. of Mansfield Township, NJ; two sisters-in-law, Esther Shoremount and Eleanor Brooks; a brother-in-law George Shoremount; four grandchildren, Amy, Gretchen, Michael and Heidi. She was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur in 2007, a daughter Gayle and a sister Lorraine Grimstad.
Services: Visitation will be Thursday March 11, 2010, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be Friday March 12, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church, 11 Lambert Rd, Blairstown, NJ 07825. Burial in the Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows.
