Obituary of Randy S. Widdoss

Randy S. Widdoss, 52, of Franklin Township , passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2009 in his parents' home. Born: November 30, 19 57 in Phillipsburg , he was a son of Robert E. and Irene "Pat" Stettler Widdoss. Personal: Randy graduated in 1976 from Warren Hills Regional High School . He purchased Hill Products Inc. in 1975 when he was just a senior in high school. He owned and operated the business for 18 years. Pursuant to his dream of helping people, he was a member of both Stewartsville and Franklin Township Rescue Squads leading him to open and operate Warren County Ambulance Service and then becoming a Paramedic. Randy served as Paramedic and CPR Instructor for Overlook Hospital in Summit , NJ ; Hunterdon Medical Center , Hunterdon County , NJ ; and most recently St. Claire's Dover Hospital for over 20 years. Randy had a gift and love of music and song. In his earlier years he was very active singing in many local churches and most recently doing DJ and Karaoke work with his friend Dave Werkhiser of Entertainment by DW Wilson of Broadway. Randy also served Franklin Township in 1997 as Councilman and Deputy Mayor. He had many hobbies, many friends, and many loves but so much enjoyed spending time on his farm. Survivors: His parents, Robert E. and Irene "Pat" Stettler Widdoss, a brother Robert D. and wife Cindy, a sister Debbie Gara and her husband Glen, all of Stewartsville, and a sister Merrilee Hill, of Washington; two nephews, Brian and Jason Widdoss, of Stewartsville; five nieces, Jennifer and Jamie Gara of Stewartsville, and Caressa, Brittany and Alexa Hill, of Washington; a god-daughter Brianna Ashley Horack of Pohatcong Township; along with many, many loved extended family and friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the many friends and co-workers, and especially Compassionate Care Hospice, who cared with so much compassion and love during the past months. Services: Visitation will be held 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave. , Washington . The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Washington Assembly of God Church, 33 Brass Castle Rd. Washington, NJ 07882 with the Rev. Michael Vine officiating.
