Thank you Dottie for being such a special part of my life and my family's life. I will remember all the Christmas we spent together and taking you to the hair dresser on Fridays. You were such a caring, giving person one that I will never forget. God Bless.

Dorothy lived her whole life loving and caring for others. The kindest soul you would ever meet. My parents and two brothers also thought the world of Dorothy. She and Johnnie often helped care for us when we were infants and toddlers. Dorothy was like a mother to us. A comment often made by our mother. Johnnie was my brother John's godfather. I remember sitting in her kitchen and tasting the delicious desserts that she baked. Dorothy was an accomplished cook and wonderful baker.
She was always ready to lend a hand and help others. A solid rock and a constant and reliable support to my new young parents with no family nearby. She and Johnnie became dear friend of my parents and a part of our family in 1950 when I was born. My mother always talked about all the help Dorothy was in those early years. They were friends for 62 years.
She will be deeply missed by my self and my brothers and I am certain everyone that knew her.

Thank you Dottie for your witness of Faith in action. Your life of giving spoke more eloquently than words. You inspired us, quietly going about your "work" steadily and resolutely. You had your share of suffering, but most would never know it. Your smile, giving spirit, and generous heart will be missed but never forgotten. Pray for us Dottie; we will pray for your eternal bliss! Thanks for a great 25+ year friendship!

Her friendship of 55 years will be missed and all the wonderful phone calls, letters and cards, we shared even though the miles that have separated us over the years.
