Obituary of Joan E Magyar
Joan E Magyar "Punky" 83 a lifelong resident of Washington passed away peacefully on January 15, 2015 at the Lopatcong Care Center.
Joan was born in her family's home on South Wandling Ave in Washington, NJ on June 13, 1931 to the late Craig Wintermute and Elsie Miller
Joan was known to all her friends and family as Punky. She graduated from Washington high school class of 1949. She retired from M&M Mars in Hackettstown in 1993. Earlier in her life she also worked for Vikon Tile, Pantuso's Pizza and Warren Hills middle school. Punky enjoyed cross word puzzles, number books and spending time down the Jersey Shore. She loved Bobby Vinton music.
She is survived by a daughter Joann Magyar; sons Stephen Magyar Jr, Craig Magyar and his wife Alexis; a sister Betty Ferri; Grandchildren Jillian and Jason Magyar; Great grandchildren Julie and Jacob Lerke.
She was preceded in death by a sister Madge Burd and a brother Earl Kinnaman.
