Obituary of Joan M Mowrey
Joan M. Mowrey 82, a lifelong resident of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on May 25, 2015 surrounded by her family at HCR Manor Care in Bethlehem, PA.
Born on January 27. 1933 in Asbury, NJ to the late Thomas and Violet Keiper.
Joan worked as a bus driver for Abilities of North West Jersey for 10 years retiring in 1993. Earlier in her life she owned and operated Joan's Tot Shop in Washington. Joan enjoyed bowling and dancing. Before the death of her loving husband Vincent Mowrey in 2000. Joan and her husband Vincent could always be found on Saturday evening dancing the night away at the Mountain Lake Casino where they were a crowd favorite. Joan was all about family and she cherished time spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors Daughters Deb DiMarco and her husband Bill, Tracey Yawger and her husband Ron and Lynn Rix and her husband William; Sons Vincent Mowrey and his wife Janice, James Mowrey and his wife Darlene. Brother Jerry Keiper and his wife Diane. 11 grandchildren and 8 great Grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband Vincent and a brother Raymond Keiper.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton.
