Obituary of John Brinkman
John Brinkman, 83, of Hackettstown, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2015 at St. Clare’s Hospice in Dover, NJ.
John was born in Mexico City, Mexico on August 25, 1931 to the late Carlye and Ruth Brinkman.
John graduated from the American School in Mexico and earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from Saint Mary’s University of San Antonio. He continued his education to receive his MBA from Seton Hall University. John served in the Army during the Korean War, and worked as a space navigation engineer for Singer-Kearfott in Wayne, NJ before retiring in 1996. His loving wife of 58 years, Marion Brinkman, passed away July 11, 2014. John enjoyed boating and reading. He also wrote children’s short stories as a hobby.
He is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Brinkman, a son Mark Brinkman and his wife Isaura, and a grandson Justin Melendez.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Theodore Catholic Church, 855 State Hwy Route 57, Port Murray, NJ 07865. Cremation will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
