Murph was a Mendham Icon and I always looked up to him. I remember the time when he worked in cousin Pete Cillo's butcher shop. Dave O'Keefe and I moved his car from the parking lot to the one hour parking on the street. I put an old outdated ticket on the car for overtime parking and signed it "I. M. Nasty". Well, can't tell you what he said, but we had him going for a while. One other time I was working the 4pm-12am shift, walked out to the police car and low and behold Murph and a couple other guys were near the police car, Murph was mumbling and little ranting a little. All of a sudden he threw his bowling ball up the parking lot towards the bowling alley building hitting the side of it. I can't tell you what he said as he released the ball, but I said, " bad night, hun?" Of course he replied, "how the xxxxxxxxx could you tell?"
Well he was a good guy and always willing to help someone if they need it. It was my privileged to know him over the years, enjoy some laughs with him, and be his friend.

We are so sorry to hear of Murph's passing. Murph and Rog were so close as young kids, they were forever playing baseball. He sure will be missed.

Hi to Murph's family,
John and I visited him on Tuesday the 6th. John and the Murph spoke about family and the photos and baseball and we all prayed together.
Dolores spoke to the Murph about Brian's wedding. Dolores kissed him twice. On her way out, she blew him another kiss. Murph looked into her eyes and said "goodbye". It was a very touching moment to me. I shall always remember that moment. That's what I hold in my heart.
