Obituary of Robert Krueger
Belvidere — Robert (Bob) E. Krueger, 83, died peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carmen (Connie)) Krueger; his sons, David of Blairstown, NJ and Richard of Wellesley, MA, and his three grandchildren, Clayton, Ryan and Megan. Born and raised in Irvington, NJ, the son of Wilbur and Celia (Zilka) Krueger and brother of the late Virginia Morrison, he was a resident of South Orange for 33 years until moving to Belvidere in 2000. Mr. Krueger was in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956 and graduated with a BA degree from Seton Hall University in 1959.Mr. Krueger was co-owner of the Hi-lite tavern and Bavarian Village bars in Newark and later in his career he held management positons at Worthington Pump in East Orange, NJ. Mr. Krueger had two passions: his family and the outdoors. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed annual family vacations in Maine and frequent trips to other locations that combined time with his sons with fishing and hunting.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 on January 6 at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Belvidere Cemetery. Memorial Home of Washington followed by a service and interment at Belvidere Cemetery.
