Obituary of Gladys Kotyza Hoffmann
Gladys Kotyza Hoffmann died peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2016 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born May 12, 1927 in Staten Island, NY to Anna Benesh and Charles Kotyza, sister to the late Dorothy Swanson and Marion Osborn. She graduated from Curtis High School in Staten Island and worked as a dental assistant in Staten Island, NY and Albuquerque, NM, and also as a bank collector for the First Fidelity Bank in Washington, NJ. She was married to the late Robert Hoffmann and lived in Albuquerque, NM for over 15 years. She is survived by two daughters Gail Joost of Washington, NJ and Cher Griffin of South Carolina, grandchildren David Tokowitz and his wife Kelly of Illinois, Tara Strain and her husband Aaron of Texas, Kurt William Wille, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Flemington, NJ, Keri Hissim and her husband Kyle of Milton, GA, Danielle Stymacks and her husband Bruce of Hackettstown, NJ, Jennilee Joost of Washington, NJ and Erika Griffin of Illinois as well as 11 great-grandchildren, Larissa Fleck, Kaila McConnell, Justice Denman, Morgan and Macy Hissim, Cameron and Caden Tokowitz, Chloe and Noah Strain, Grant and Addison Stymacks, and 1 great-great grandchildren, Tristan Fleck.
Gladys loved to gallivant, anywhere life would take her including outings with her grandchildren, going to the casinos, or the Poconos. She had a love for jewelry, playing cards and the piano and of course chocolate!
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to one of the many places she would love to visit with family and friends, The Red Mill Museum Village, 56 Main Street, Clinton, NJ 08809. Private services will be held to honor and celebrate Gladys' life.
